(recipe w/ video tutorial) ma-genta asked: i've being doing the rainbow cake, its very easy i knoe, but, the colors arent so alive, i mean, when i do the cake mixture and i add the food coloring the colors look bright and alive but when the cake is baked it doesnt look soo brightt , what can i doo :$ You should use gel food coloring, its more vibrant. Also try gel neon colors, those are even more vibrant. Also make sure you bake the cakes in lower heat that way the colors don’t get dark and oogly :) Also use only egg whites not egg yolks so the batter is snow white and omit vanilla extract (or use clear vanilla) because it also adds color (you want a white cake).
